How to Install Divi 5 on WordPress

Before starting

You need a working self-hosted WordPress installation, administrator access and an active Elegant Themes membership to download Divi 5.

Download the theme

Sign in to your Elegant Themes account and download the Divi 5 theme ZIP. Do not unzip it before using the WordPress theme uploader.

Upload and activate

In WordPress, open Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme, choose the ZIP, install it and activate Divi. Menu wording can vary with WordPress versions.

Connect your license

Follow the account and licensing instructions shown in the Elegant Themes dashboard so updates and membership features work as expected.

Check your installation

Review the homepage, mobile navigation and any existing content. On an existing site, test the theme switch on staging before changing the live site.

New site or existing site?

On a fresh installation, theme activation is a straightforward starting point. On an established site, switching themes can change menus, widget areas and styling. Make a staging copy first, take screenshots of key pages and document any custom code or child-theme behavior before activation.
